When I started my business with my family, it quickly became apparent that we would need a Website and an identity to tie to it. After checking with my various ISPs and other hosting companies and feeling UDDERLY confused and intimidated about the whole process, fatcow hosting company was recommended to one of my partners. It wasn’t long before we decided to set up our domain with them and in the few short months our site has been on their servers, I can tell you (as an absolute novice to Web authoring) that I no longer feel the sense of intimidation I once did. their Control Panel is almost as easy and intuitive to use as my Mac’s! The two times I’ve needed tech support, they responded immediately, professionally and courteously. By the way, when I needed them, it was my own errors, and not FatCow‘s. Thanks again, for a wonderful hosting experience! I’ve already recommended them to friends and one so far has already joined!

I am a newbie and when i was looking to buy a host i was in a spot of a bother as i was really finding it tough to find the hosting firm to provide me with what i am looking for and also which have a good help desk to assist me as i am a newbie and have no prior knowledge of hosting a website… I found out that FATCOW was th one providing me with what i want and when i buy a host from them i didn’t expect them to be so helpful. They are really supportive and I am really happy to be with them… I recomend everyone who are looking to buy a host to have a look at FATCOW before going to someone else.

I think Fat Cow is great. The Customer Service people are friendly, and I haven’t been put on hold for a lengthy period of time. The Tech Support is great too, they are willing to answer questions that were not specific to my account, it’s great to get some added information. I realize Fat Cow is the best, no comparison.

Well, until this year, I would have given them a 10 – FatCow was great. As everyone else has said, Customer Support people were friendly and knowledgeable, the service was down infrequently, and they were upfront about issues when they ocurred and they fixed them promptly. I was super happy.
But, this spring something changed. My site has been down more – and the company has not been upfront about publicly reporting these outages, since they claim it only happens to a few people at a time. More troubling, the customer support folks who were friendly and knolwedgeable have been seemingly replaced by people who do not know anything and/or have been badly trained. OR , perhaps the company has switched to a rather poor automated bot system for both LiveChat and support ticket responses. This began to seem likely after I started receiving amazing off topic answers to issues I raised in both the support tickets and the Live Chat sessions. For example, just recently I received an email from FatCow that incorrectly identified several active mailboxes as \inactive\, which then marked them for automatic deletion by the FatCow server unless I made them active within 15 days. But they were *already* active. The first support response to this issue was just a boilerplate answer about why inactive accounts need to be deleted. The next one said the email was a \technical glitch\ and I should wait to see if the mailboxes actually get deleted – they offered no other assurance that I can check to see what the FatCow server has a status for the mailboxes before the 15 days are up. The final response to date on this issue talks about their \DomanGuard\ services, something completely unrelated to the mailbox issue I raised. So, I am currently waiting to see if on the 15th day those active mailboxes disappear. Yikes. If their server is incorrectly marking things for deletion from my site I run the risk of data loss, bounced emails (and therefore potential loss of business and revenue). This is a huge issue that FatCow has created by its error and which FatCow so far is not willing to address directly. I’m sorry to say, they have gone from 10 to 0 at the moment for me. (I have given them 1′s in the chart because leaving it blank will mark it as \unrated\.)

The ratings should all be ones – I don’t know why they came through as “unrated” instead the first time. Thanks.
