I joined their live chat inquiring about the specs of their plans. Rather than tell me he didn’t know, the rep kept trying to upsell me to the more expensive plan. I stated I might be willing to consider that, but would like information on the servers used. After asking him to explicitly outline several of the features of each plans’ servers, he promptly left the chat session without providing the requested info. The online chat button was then removed from their site so I could not rejoin!!

I’ve been using them for many years, and I must say that they were great so far. I just can’t remember the last time, my server was down.
The only negative thing that I can remember about this web host is that from time to time the server is going to be a little bit slower than it should.
The best thing about this web hosting is that it’s very affordable. They have some great prices and promotion going all the time. I’m sure that iPowerWeb is going to be a great solution for many online businesses around the world.

Security is abysmal and tech support non-existent. If you only need to have a cheap server to display static content and no e-mail then you may be happy.
If you need a secure site that will not be hijacked and responsive technical support you may want to look elsewhere.

My business relies heavily on email. Ipower support was great to get me and my six employees up and running. They also were very helpful when it came to helping me with a database question (which I knew nothing about).

Ipower web has been our webhost for several years now and they have been excellent. We have had no problems and the reliability is simply the best out there.
We used to be with two other hosts but the reliability became a real problem with frequent “maintenance updates”, so that’s when we decided to try ipower web. Smooth sailing since we made the jump.

I’ve been using ipower since 2005 – and one thing particularly impressive about them is how quick they respond: whether its a sale inquiry, customer service question, or technical support issue. The folks there have always been personable, courteous and quick in their response.
Would I recommend them? Yes.

A few years ago when Ipowerweb appeared to be putting some effort into it, they were a good value for what you got. Unfortunately, starting around mid 2007, the reliability began to suffer and the support plummeted. Its most evident in support email. Although they lowered the monthly fee & increased allowed disk space & bandwidth, they have adopted some very restrictive policies that dramatically limit what you can run of a shared server site.
For example: a standard phpBB forum can be shut down once it has grown to have perhaps 100-200 visitors per day. Without notice, they will move it off the production servers under the grounds that it uses too much of their processors.

When installing new software (community software), you always get a 500 error. You then have to get in touch with support which is only 9-5 week days.
Although it states 24/7 support, they only give you true support about 40 hours a week, making it impossible to work on your website on the weekend or late at night. You can’t do anything on your own because the website has to be “adjusted” by support in order to get anything to work.
I’m going to try another hosting company. Ipower totally sucks.

They offer a very reasonably price service. I have not had any issues with them. As with anything if you are a newbie, tech support can only take you so far.
They can configure the service for you but if you don’t know how to code or are not technical it may be very frustrating.

Never had any problems with them, very fast connection and close to 100% uptime. There are several times where my site was down, but it was only for maybe 10 minutes at the most.
Customer service can be hard to come by since it is such a large host.
Their prices are great – especially since with almost every package you get $75+ in free advertising.
Their user panel is very easy to use and it has all the features and more than what anyone would need.

There customer support is lack luster. Seems like they hire whoever they want. There download speeds are slow, and there connection speeds are not so good compared to other hosting companies I have had business with.
One thing positive that can be said is they have good uptime and reliability. Lack luster over the board, but there price keeps me there, and there features.

Ipower web is terrible when it comes to hosting any site. Their support is horrible and when I bought a domain, it separated it from my other packages, and then all of a sudden, they charged me $12 JUST to TRANSFER it over to my hosting package.
I reccomend not using ipower web at all.

Well, ipowerweb.com hosting is okay as it does the trick they offer a lot of tools and such huge amounts of space.
it’s a great value but their tech support can be improved same with uptime and reliability.
if you need a cheap and simple host with a simple website I wold recommend ipowerweb.com for that.

I write this after having my account for a short time. So far, so good. They called me when I purchased my account to welcome me to the service and ask if I had questions. Nice.
Support reps were on it when it came to helping me setup email in Outlook Express. They explained how my analytics software worked without making me feel like an idiot. VERY nice.
Their tech support is very friendly. Its refreshing to see an internet company have such good customer service. They should be charging more (but I’m glad they don’t.)

When i first signed up i was surprised about the quality support, haven’t experienced such like it.
As you might not know, I’m from Holland (Europe) which is quite far away, none the less the speeds are amazing and stable too!

I will skip over the array of features offered by ipowerweb, since that information is already available on their website.
What places ipower ahead of all the others is their responsive customer service. Support is offered in various formats: easy online text support, live chat, and phone.
My website was activated right away, and within minutes of registering online, I received emails on how to begin setting up my site. I ran into some compatibility issues with my ftp application, but tech support responded within hours and the conflict was resolved.
I’ve looked into the cheaper, and even free, hostings sites, and believe me, what you save in dollars and cents, you make up for in frustration.
Ipower is well worth the money if you value your sanity.

I have 7 to 12 domain names at various times with Ipower. My biggest concern with Ipower was their accounting practices of deliberately omitting the domain name in the billing snapshot page , billing schedule page, payment history snapshot page, billing receipts, account renewal management page or emailed payment transactions.
You had no idea what domains were incurring a billing event with out the domain name visible in the transaction of domain renewal or domain privacy.
This went for years and is still a problem. Literally hundreds of emails/support tickets later they still defend it is not possible to show the domain names in that little detail of domain billing and accounting.
If you don’t care if you see your domain name in a lot of accounting and billing pages and statements then you may like Ipower. Right now I’m shopping my business elsewhere. I just can’t handle not knowing how or where they spend my money!
Ipowerweb is a great host and I highly recommend them. They respond quickly to support requests and have been very reliable.
I chose them to host my podcasting content because they offer the option of servers tuned specifically for streaming.
